Join us for our Fall Elite Softball Clinics! Participants will have the option to register for a single session or all 3. These clinics are geared towards the advanced, competitive softball player and will cover hitting, defense, and pitching. Registrants will receive instruction from the University of Delaware Softball staff as well as the players.
The Fall Elite Pitching and Catching Defensive Clinic will be an excellent opportunity for pitchers and catchers to work individual skillsets. Mobility, strength, velocity, spin pitches, and the importance of data and metrics will be covered in the pitching clinic. Pitchers MUST bring their own catchers; it cannot be a catcher who is signed up for the catching clinic. Catchers will get the opportunity to train exclusively on skills related to the catching position, such as receiving, transfers, throwing to bases, blocking, and softball IQ. This clinic will also be held in the Delaware Field House.
The Fall Elite Defensive Clinic will focus on the breakdown of Infield and Outfield fundamentals as well as high level philosophies while providing numerous opportunities to improve skill and gain softball IQ. This clinic will be held in the Delaware Field House which is an indoor turf, so registrants must bring turf shoes or athletic sneakers. If the weather cooperates, we could be outdoors at our softball Facility.
The Fall Elite Hitting Clinic will focus on the main components of hitting. This clinic will take place at the University of Delaware Softball Field and turf batting cages, and it will provide the participants multiple opportunities to improve and showcase their talents. All facets of hitting will be covered, including swing break down, actual game speed hitting, on field batting practice, and the mental game. We will not be scrimmaging or hitting off a live pitcher for this clinic as it is solely a hitting clinic.
Registrants must bring all softball equipment, tennis shoes/turf shoes, and a water bottle. Due to state law in Delaware, guardians must sign campers in and out each day unless the athlete is 18 years old.
